I trained in fine art at Camberwell, and I work both as an illustrator and as a painter. I have illustrated a range of books: children’s readers (including two which I wrote myself), local environment books, a seed saving manual, and two books about cricket. My work ranges from atmospheric sketches to the highly detailed. I am the artist attached to the Ways With Words literary festivals, where I create quick watercolour portraits of authors and audience members. I am also a botanical illustrator, working in close detail with watercolour or pen and ink.
